Anti-genic test: what do you need to know?

• A collection swab
• A tube containing liquid
• A cap for the tube

How does it work?

Firstly, before using the kit, wash your hands thoroughly and blow your nose.

Then follow these few steps:

• Unwrap the swab and gently insert the tip into your nasal cavity. A line on the swab shows the insertion limit.
• Gently swirl the swab 5 times for about 20 seconds.
• Repeat these steps in the other nostril.
• Remove the aluminium cap from the collection tube.
• Place the swab in the tube and swirl the swab in the liquid at least 5 times.
• Squeeze the tube with your fingers and move the swab up and down a few times to expel all the solution from the sample and remove the swab.
• Press the cap tightly on the tube.
• Place 3 drops of solution on the test card (check the compartment).
• Wait 15 minutes to read the result.

A positive (+) test will show two red bands on T and C.

A negative (-) test will only show one red line on the C line.

Please note that if no red stripe appears, the test is considered invalid and should be retaken with another test card.

As for the reliability of these tests, we advise you to do two tests per week as a precautionary measure since these tests give instantaneous results.

Please also note that the possibility of a false negative exists (error during sampling / implementation or defective test). However, repeated use of self-tests increases their reliability.
